According to the field test measurement, in the earthwork stage of construction, the sound power level range of the noise source used by the construction machinery is generally 100~120dB (A), and the sound source is not obvious directional. In the foundation construction stage, the noise source of the construction site is generally a variety of pile drivers, some drilling, pick and mobile air compressor and other mechanical equipment. The noise source in this construction stage is mostly a fixed sound source, among which the most important one is the noise of the pile driver. (1)  Number of monitoring points of the construction site

 The number of monitoring points is set according to the location of noise-sensitive buildings and sound sources around the construction site. The monitoring points are located in the positions that can reflect the greater impact of construction noise on noise-sensitive buildings. The position of the monitoring points can be adjusted along with the construction stage.

(2)  The site selection of the automatic noise monitoring points in the construction site shall meet the following requirements.

a.  It is set within the safe range of the construction area and can directly monitor the main construction activities on the site.

b.  If there are noise-sensitive buildings around, the automatic noise monitoring points can be set separately. Automatic noise monitoring points should be set up in the positions where construction noise has a great impact on noise-sensitive buildings.

c.  If there are no noise sensitive buildings around construction sites, noise monitoring points may not be set up.

d.  Strong electromagnetic interference is avoided near the noise monitoring point, and stable and reliable power supply is convenient for the installation and maintenance of communication lines.

e.  The setting of the noise monitoring points shall avoid the impact on the construction safety.

f. When adjacent to other construction sites, avoid setting up monitoring points at the adjacent boundaries.

(3)  Equipment installation and safety requirements

a.  The online equipment is firmly installed and, depending on the user?s own geographical location, should be able to withstand force 10 in general areas and force 12 in coastal areas.

b.  The outdoor microphone of the automatic noise monitor shall be 1 m outside the field boundary and 0.5 m higher than the wall, and the distance of the microphone shall not be less than 1.2 m from any other components.
